Last night I thought that Amity was lost. It's ok, she eventually just wandered home at about 9 o'clock. And I told her she was never ever going outside again. But not before I had some hysterics and 12 heart attacks. So, I'm feeling a little drained today. I'm just going to choose a winner of my little mini, mini, mini contest from Sunday.
Everyone had some good stories, so of course I couldn't choose. I've turned to my friend random.org for the answers. And the winner is... Flicketysplits! If you want to just email me your address to jljorna@gmail.com I'll send you a little present!

Cheeky cat! Glad she is home safe and sound, my cat disappeared for a whole night when i got my puppy, that was extremely stressful. But she is back now too!
Maybe they like little adventure every now and then.
I know how you feel. We don't like our cat roaming unsupervised and on occasion Piper does escape. I t is very worrisome when we can't find her.
Funnily, Amity is the same breed as Piper, see here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/15542235@N00/3345725073/in/set-72157594336113262/
Once I had a cat who always tried to get out of the door, but we had a "cat killer" evil neighborough, so we wouldn't let her out...she "escaped" by throwing herself out of the window (3rd floor), she was fine..but after that, she never went close to a door or window again!
Glad your kitty made it home safe. I always worry so much when the kitties break out.
Oh my, I'm so glad Amity made it home safely. I freak out whenever one of my three is even 15 minutes late home. We too have a "cat killer" neighbour - anonymous at this stage which is even more frightening - but mine would go mental if they were shut inside so I just cross my fingers, toes and eyes every time I hear the cat flap bang!
