Things that I've forgotten to bring to Sydney:

- My camera cable to upload pics this week
- A "going out wallet" since my huge overstuffed one doesn't fit into a clutch
- My eeyore. This is a totally big deal.
- My iPod charger

I'm going well so far!

Eye Spy... My secret (food) shame

Well, I don't thing my one is that strange. A lot of people like salty and sweet things together, I just take my enjoyment of it to a bit more of an extreme than others.

2 of my favourite salty/sweet combos are peanut butter spread on any type of fruit and eaten by the truckload (this includes peanut butter and banana sandwiches) and pancakes with syrup and bacon. My mouth is watering just thinking of it!!

Yummmm.

Thanks to just needs salt for this weeks theme and the lovely Cindy for hosting as always! I'm on annual leave for the next 2 weeks. So hopefully you can expect lots of posting from me!!

Simple Swap

Today I received my first ever swap in the mail! Very exciting for me :) I can't for the life of me remember the blog that the swap was from. I'll have a look around tomorrow and find out!

Anywho, these are 2 very nice fat 1/4's. The starry one was sent specifically with a softie in mind! And a little jelly roll that looks like it's from tie fabric? They're all very nice and silky in any case.

I really love this little clasp that she sent too! It's from a flea market.

This is a lovely note that she sent me, how cute is the reindeer rabbit?! Love it.

Buut, this is my favourite. "Awesome Friends". It's bread and butter! I've been giggling over this one for a solid 20 minutes.

Eye Spy... something delicious.

It's lime chiffon pie. This is the first recipe that I've tried out of my Australian Woman's Weekly Top 1000 Best Ever Recipes.
It's really yummy! Very light, and as my brother said about 5 times while eating it. Zesty. In a good way :) So, first recipe is declared a success! In the background you might notice the little sleeve that I've made for my recipe books. It's just some clear plastic vinyl held together with some store bought bias binding. If you're going to make one, I would recommend making it the size of your biggest recipe book, because you can fold it over to quite small!

As always, thanks to Cindy for hosting and Handmaiden for this weeks theme!

P.S

Don't forget, there's still one spot for my pay it forward!!!

Pay It forward 2.0

You may already know that I have joined in with the pay it forward over at Dearfii, I've put up my pay it forward post already but I've only had one respondent. This is probably due to my very very low readership. But oh well!

Anyway, last night I put myself up for another pay it forward over at Curlypops (and I think that I made the cut) so now I need 5 more people to join in with my pay it forward. Don't be shy now!!

Unfortunately I still have to limit this to people in Australia, since international postage of anything of substance is a little out of my budget.

The rules are simple:
I will make a handmade gift for the first 3 interested people who comment on this post. I have 365 days to do it in...You must have a blog to join in and be willing to do the same for three other people...

So, please feel free to come forward. My karmic future is in your hands!!!!

Ed. 1 spot still open!

amityvilleboronia font

You may have noticed that I've changed the mast head again. And I'm very happy to say that it's made with a font that I made my very self!
I made it at www.yourfonts.com. And it was super super easy and totally fun.

I can't stop typing any random sentence! I highly recommend giving it a go, I know I plan to make a few more fonts.

Eye Spy... A small object.

This is some little birdy ribbon trim that I got at the end of last year. It's from patchwork on central I think. How cute are birds?? I haven't really thought of anything to do with it yet. It's another one of those things that I'm too worried to use, because it's just so cute I don't know if I can do it justice! I think it's good in the package decorating my shelves for now!

This weeks eye spy was chosen by my sister! A.K.A. The Crafty Librarian. As always, hosted by Cindy!

Hope you're all feeling better now that it's normal (ish) temperature again!

Dear Ikea,

If you would kindly start making an affordable rip off of this wonderful jug or indeed anything from this store as soon as possible, that would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,
